Winter on Pier A
In summer Pier A in Hoboken would be wall-to-wall with people enjoying a bright, sunny day. Not so in January when a solitary jogger is all that there is.

Cruise Ship and Skyline
Despite the predominance of modern buildings in the background and the sleek cruise ship on the river I get a 1920′s feel from the B&W treatment of the shot. NYC as “Gotham” with the ship representing decadent leisure. I’d almost expect Batman to swoop down from the top of a skyscraper and land on the boat. But that’s just me. This will be the last black & white in this series but you can expect more in the future.
