Pier C Playground
The night shot of Hoboken’s Pier C Playground is part of my new SoFoBoMo eBook for 2011. SoFoBoMo is an annual photography event that requires a minimum of 35 images to be taken and made into a book within a 31 day period. This years theme is Infrascape – NJ; photos of both public and private infrastucture rendered as landscapes. The entire collection can be found here.

This Year's eBook
It’s that time of year again and I have just uploaded my current eBook to the SoFoBoMo site. Infrascape – NJ is a collection of photos taken and formed into a book within a 31 day period (in my case starting on July 10 ). This year’s theme is about applying traditional landscape photo techniques to public and private-industrial infrastructure projects. You can take a look by following this link. Summer Solstice - Black & White
This photo was originally published in my SoFoBoMo-2010 book in color and can be found here. I did the greyscale conversion in Silver Efex Pro to see if the theme of the image came through in black and white. I like it.

Blurb Book Cover - SoFoBoMo 2010
While the photo above looks similar to my post on July 1st, it actually is the cover shot for I book I recently created using Blurb.com. I received my copy yesterday and was pleased with the results. Blurb is a “print on demand” service that includes software (Booksmart) that has a lot of flexibility in terms of layout, themes, backgrounds, fonts, etc. You can see the result by following the link here to an on-line preview. In order to get the preview I had to make the book public, which means its also for sale. Since I haven’t marked up the price (yet) please don’t construe this as a sales pitch.

SoFoBoMo – 2010
I posted my SoFoBoMo book project on-line today. As I said in an earlier post, the rules require that you publish a minimum of 35 photos (in my case 38 plus cover) taken, processed and uploaded within a 31 consecutive day period during June and July of 2010. The theme of my project is Time. To quote myself:
The dimension of time defines our lives. We all know we only have so much time on Earth. This fact leads us to measure, schedule, display and use time in a variety of ways and in a variety of contexts. This project includes examples of these uses both in a physical context as well as in terms of natural events. I hope you enjoy seeing these representations as much as I have in creating them.
The book can be found on the SoFoBoMo site here. The title is “A Matter of Time” and is one of nearly 400 proposed projects currently available or in progress.
Some housekeeping information … The document is a PDF of about 14MB in size. Give it some time to fully load so as to make the transitions as smooth as possible.
